Sen. Rick Scott (R-Fla.) did not mince words on Tuesday in giving an assessment of President Joe Biden.
According to POLITICO’s congressional bureau chief, Burgess Everett, Scott thinks Biden’s time in the Oval Office has run its course and it’s time for it to end.
“Joe Biden is unwell. He’s unfit for office. He’s incoherent, incapacitated and confused. He doesn’t know where he is half the time. He’s incapable of leading and he’s incapable of carrying out his duties,” said Scott, as quoted on Twitter by Everett.
Rick Scott says Biden should resign as Biden focuses on his tax plan: “Joe Biden is unwell. He’s unfit for office. He’s incoherent, incapacitated and confused. He doesn’t know where he is half the time. He’s incapable of leading and he’s incapable of carrying out his duties.”

The remarks come as fuel, food, housing, rent, and used car costs have soared, hitting all U.S. consumers in the pocketbook. In addition, ongoing supply chain issues are creating widening shortages of everything from lumber to baby formula, the latter of which hasn’t even been mentioned by the president though it has been worsening for months.
It also comes as more Americans become convinced that the president’s mental status has reached a disconcerting level:
Just believe that he is “mentally fit.” That number has gone unchanged over the past two months. It also tracks with an ABC poll last month which found 54 percent of Americans do not believe that Biden has the “mental sharpness” for office.
According to a recent Washington Post/ABC News poll, a strong majority of voters said Biden is unfit to serve as president while also revealing the lowest job approval rating (37 percent) from the poll since becoming president over a year ago.
“The recent poll revealed that the “underlying weakness” is to the degree that most adults “have doubts about his personal capacities.” When the respondents were asked if he was a strong leader, 59 percent said no, while 36 percent said yes. In fact, those percentages resemble his job approval; 37 percent approve and 55 percent disapprove,” Breitbart reported.
“When asked about Biden’s “mental sharpness” to serve as president, 54 percent said they do not think Biden is mentally sharp enough, while only 40 percent said he is. When respondents were asked the same question in May 2020, when Biden was only a candidate, 51 percent said he had the “mental sharpness” needed to serve as president, while 43 percent said he did not,” the report added.
Last month, nearly 40 GOP congressional members that Biden take a mental fitness test and make the results public.
Specifically, they want him to follow the precedent set by his predecessor, Donald Trump, as recent polling increasingly shows more Americans are not certain of Biden’s mental fitness for the demanding job of president.
Led by former White House physician Rep. Ronny Jackson of Texas, 37 other Republican colleagues signed a letter to Biden on Tuesday in which they said they had “concern” about his “current cognitive state.”
“My colleagues and I are again asking President Biden to immediately undergo a formal cognitive screening exam, such as the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MOCA),” Jackson said.
“As a former physician to three Presidents of the United States, I know what it takes mentally and physically to execute the duties of Commander-in-Chief and Head of State,” Jackson added. “Joe Biden has continually proven to me and to the world that something isn’t right. The American people deserve to have absolute confidence in their President’s cognitive ability.”
