Top podcaster Megyn Kelly mocked Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez during her Tuesday program after the New York ‘democratic socialist’ called for impeaching conservative Supreme Court justices who signed on to Samuel Alito’s decision overturning Roe v. Wade.
Ocasio-Cortez has suggested that some of those justices be impeached for allegedly ‘lying under oath’ during their confirmation hearings about ‘Roe’ being an established right.
The former Fox News host was interviewed on Newmax TV by host Eric Bolling, who observed that Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is “coming at the judges pretty darn hard.”
Kelly responded: “Well I’ll distinguish between the two because I think AOC is a moron. I think Elizabeth Warren is smart — she’s ideological and not necessarily aligned with you or with myself — but I think AOC is not that smart, and she really just wants to be a star.”
“She’s sort of a Kardashian in Congress. I guarantee you she hasn’t read the decision, and I guarantee you she has no understanding of what substantive due process is, or the history of any of what she’s talking about,” Kelly continued.
The podcast host said Ocasio-Cortez’s impeachment push was “ridiculous,” adding it “will go nowhere,” before saying that “all the justices play a little fast and loose with how they’re going to decide cases and how they’re going to treat precedent.”
She continued: “These guys haven’t done anything wrong. They have interpreted the Constitution according to their judicial philosophy.
“People like Maxine Waters are out there saying we’re not going to follow it. You know what? You know what I have to say to her? Yes, you are,” Kelly continued.
“You are going to have to follow it. Sorry, but your state is no longer going to perform abortions if you’re in a redder state, alright?” Kelly, who herself is an attorney, added.
“She’s not, but women who are are not going to be able to find abortions because the clinics are going to close down because doctors don’t want to go to prison.
“It’s called federalism, and if they would just continue reading the Constitution, some of these things might become clear to them without you and/or yours truly having to explain it,” she said.

In an interview Sunday on NBC’s Meet The Press, anchor Chuck Todd set the New York Democrat up by asking if she believes the House Judiciary Committee “should begin the process of an investigation” into Justices Clarence Thomas, Brett Kavanaugh, and Amy Coney Barrett for allegedly lying under oath during their confirmation hearings.
“If we allow supreme court nominees to lie under or under oath and secure lifetime appointments to the highest court of the land and then issue, without basis, if you read these opinions, issue without basis, rulings that deeply undermine the human and civil rights of the majority of Americans we must see that through,” ‘AOC’ claimed.
“There must be consequences for such a deeply stabilizing action and hostile takeover of our democratic institutions. To allow that to stand is to allow it to happen,” she said.
“And what makes it particularly dangerous is that it sends a blaring signal to all future nominees that they can now lie to duly elected members of the United States Senate in order to secure Supreme Court confirmations,” she added.
