Tempers and outrage continue to flare in the wake of the massacre on Tuesday of 19 children and two adults at the Robb Elementary School in Uvalde, Texas, with many seeking to blame someone other than the shooter for what happened.
Leftists and Democrats, for instance, have laid into Republicans, though none of them pulled the trigger and all of them have condemned what happened at the school.
And yet, even as more details emerge indicating that perhaps there were failures on the part of law enforcement to act sooner, somehow Republicans like Sen. Ted Cruz of Texas are bearing the brunt of the criticism.
On Friday, a crazed man verbally attacked Cruz at a restaurant near where the National Rifle Association convention was held in Houston.
“So I was having dinner and got to see a show. Ted Cruz being accosted literally the whole time, lmao,” a TikTok user said in the caption of the video.
“Why did you come here to the convention?” the man shouted at the senator and then shouted again and again “19 children died! 19 children died! That’s on your hands! Ted Cruz, that’s on your hands!”
The man was being restrained by another man as he attempted to get closer to the senator.

Cruz noted that none of the bills Democrats have been proposing would have made any difference in Uvalde.
Nor did any of the laws currently on the books; others have pointed out that the school is a ‘gun-free zone’ and firearms were already prohibited on campus.
