Former U.S. representative and current Texas Democratic gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke was removed from a press conference Wednesday afternoon in Uvalde, Texas, as Gov. Greg Abbott and other state leaders were addressing the horrific school shooting there a day earlier.
As O’Rourke was speaking to the governor directly, in what appeared to be a political stunt, the sheriff called him a “sick son of a bitch” and asked him to leave.
Uvalde Mayor Don McLaughlin, meanwhile, shouted, “Sir you are out of line!” and demanded that he leave before he was escorted away by authorities.

O’Rourke’s stunt was lambasted on social media.
Beto O'Rourke always dances on the graves of shooting victims to advance his political career… today was his worst stunt yet. He's trash.

What kind of political cretin interrupts a press conference to campaign? showed no leadership, is only interested in power. Sickening political theater.

Beto O'Rourke just proved that he is one of the biggest pieces of shit in the nation. He just stepped on the bodies of 19 dead babies to interrupt Gov. Abbott's press conference to make a political statement. Fuck you Beto. He made this about his campaign from the first second.

Beto O’Rourke is a disgusting human being.

Robert Francis O'Rourke is a low life sewer-dweller who was brought up to think he was owed something. Has he worked a day in his life? He thinks he's entitled to some elected office and didn't have the common decency to stop campaigning as the governor updated Texans.

Beto O'Rourke is running such a sad campaign for governor in Texas that he had to attend a press release where our Republican governor was speaking and heckle him & be removed. Like some damn pussy hat wearing madwoman. Sad. Poor fella has become a joke.

I try very hard to be as civil as humanly possible most of the time on social media. I fail sometimes but I try really, really hard. But Beto O’Rourke is a bastard for what he just did. Grandstanding at a time like this. You are, without a doubt, a sick son of a bitch.

Beto, about to lose again for the 30th time, is desperate for a viral moment. He’ll be on Joy Reid tonight. A hero of the anti-gun left, which is virtually non existent in the state he hopes to govern. Politically clueless.
