Fox News White House Correspondent Peter Doocy is already leaving new White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre flummoxed just two days into the job.
During Tuesday’s press conference, Doocy asked:
The president’s Twitter account posted the other day, ‘You wanna bring down inflation, let’s make sure the wealthiest corporations pay their fair share.’
How does raising taxes on corporations reduce inflation?
Jean-Pierre immediately appeared stumped, then managed the question, “Um…so…are you talking about a specific tweet?”
Doocy repeated the tweet verbatim.
Her response sounded like a review of past policy but it did not contain an answer to Doocy’s question.
So he repeated it. A couple of times, actually.
But it did not get any better for the new press secretary from there.
