More Gear From Elon Musk Arrives in Ukraine; SpaceX Founder Responds

Billionaire Tesla and SpaceX founder Elon Musk responded on Twitter to a Ukrainian official who thanked him for sending additional Starlink satellite internet equipment.

“Received the second shipment of Starlink stations! keeps his word!” Mykhailo Fedorov, the Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine, tweeted. “Thank you for supporting Ukraine and peace in the entire world! thanks!”

“You’re welcome,” Musk responded. “We have also sent power adapters for car cigarette lighters, solar/battery packs and generators for places where electricity is not available.”

Last week, Musk was praised for sending an initial shipment of Starlink equipment at the request of a Ukrainian government official amid an invasion by Russian forces.

Vice Prime Minister of Ukraine tweeted: “, while you try to colonize Mars — Russia try to occupy Ukraine! While your rockets successfully land from space — Russian rockets attack Ukrainian civil people! We ask you to provide Ukraine with Starlink stations and to address sane Russians to stand.”

“Starlink service is now active in Ukraine,” Musk responded. “More terminals en route.”

Later, Musk warned Ukrainians how to shield the equipment from being targeted by Russian military units.

“Important warning: Starlink is the only non-Russian communications system still working in some parts of Ukraine, so probability of being targeted is high. Please use with caution,” he wrote on Twitter.

“Turn on Starlink only when needed and place antenna away as far away from people as possible,” he noted further, adding: “Place light camouflage over antenna to avoid visual detection.”
