Russian forces officially invaded Ukraine on Wednesday, with early reports claiming that dozens of Ukrainian military installations and facilities have already been destroyed.
According to Ukrainian defense ministry officials, Russian forces have destroyed 74 facilities including 11 airbases.
Video posted online show a large Russian helicopter assault against one such airbase.
“Confirmed by Ukrainian authorities. A large air assault operation with Mi-8 helicopters on Antonov International Airport in Hostomel,” Christopher Miller, a BuzzFeed News reporter, tweeted. “Interior Ministry says Russia has seized control. Very dangerous; it’s just 15 minutes west of the capital ring road.”
