Big-Name Country Music Stars Have Signed On to Perform At Conservative Event; ‘AmericaFest’ Drawing Acts Where Donald Trump Jr., Candace Owens, Tucker Carlson Will Speak

While it’s commonplace for left-leaning Hollywood stars to join up with Democratic lawmakers and liberal causes, it’s much less common for conservative entertainers to do so.

But several big-name country music acts including Brantley Gilbert, Dustin Lynch, Russell Dickerson, and RaeLynn “have all signed on to perform at a conservative conference hosted by Turning Point USA called ‘AmericaFest,'” The Daily Wire reports.

The event will also feature several conservative stars like Donald Trump Jr., The Daily Wire’s Candace Owens, and Fox News host Tucker Carlson, all of whom are scheduled to speak.

“Brantley Gilbert and Dustin Lynch are among the performers at the upcoming conservative conference AmericaFest, slated for Dec. 18-21 in Phoenix,” Billboard  Friday.

“The conference is one of several annual summits hosted by the conservative nonprofit organization Turning Point USA.”

“Other country performers on the lineup include ‘Home Sweet’ singer Russell Dickerson, RaeLynn, Adam Doleac, ‘God Bless the U.S.A.’ singer Lee Greenwood, and Dee Jay Silver,” the report added. “Lynch’s song ‘Thinking ‘Bout You’ with Mackenzie Porter is in its second week atop Billboard‘s Country Airplay chart.”

The Daily Wire adds:

The singers aren’t the only ones on the country music scene to connect themselves with the Right. This year, county star Jason Aldean and his wife Brittany Aldean have been open about their support for the U.S. Military and voiced criticism aimed at President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris, both Democrats.

This summer, for example, Brittany discussed her decision to be open about her conservative political views, emphasizing that she gets more support than people realize, and, frankly, doesn’t “give a d***” about the criticism.

Brittany, friends with Candace Owens, has also promoted clothing that reads “Anti Biden Social Club” on her Instagram.

Singer RaeLynn released a pro-life song this year called “She Chose Me,” and performed it on “Candace,” a weekly show produced by The Daily Wire.

Taste of Country reported that the song outlines “’a Bible Belt-lovin’ believer’ who gets pregnant after an extramarital affair with a man on Galveston Bay and, the lyrics imply, considers getting an abortion,” but in the end chooses her daughter.

RaeLynn also sings the praises of motherhood in the album. “‘Made for Me to Love,’ a love letter to her infant daughter Daisy, in January, when she was only eight weeks pregnant,” Taste of Country reports.

“She says she arrived at the writing session feeling ‘super emotional’ and, despite the axiom about waiting to share pregnancy news until after the first trimester, she told her co-writers that she was pregnant before sitting down to write the song,” the outlet continued.

In October, country music legend Travis Tritt thanked the Atlanta Braves and others after being given the opportunity to sing the National Anthem ahead of the team’s Game 6 victory in the National League Championship Series, sending them to the World Series for the first time since 1999.

So the wing nut cancel culture tried to pressure the Atlanta Braves into forcing me not to sing the National Anthem at Game 6 of the NLCS. I’m so thankful that the  did not cave to this pressure and refused to be bullied. Thanks for allowing me to pay tribute to America,” he tweeted.

The Washington Post reported the Saturday before Tritt performed, “The Braves chose Tritt because he is a big fan of the team. Most teams bring out their most high-profile fans this time of year. But the choice is somewhat puzzling because it seems to court unnecessary controversy, given Tritt’s stance against vaccination mandates.”

“By allowing Tritt to sing for their organization, the Braves are sending the wrong message for MLB — a league whose success is predicated on a successful COVID-19 policy and heavy reliance on the COVID-19 vaccine,” Fansided.com added.

Tritt, however, was undeterred.

“I’m putting my money where my mouth is and announcing that any venue or promoter mandating masks, requiring vaccinations, or pushing COVID testing protocols on my fans will not be tolerated,” Tritt said in a statement sent to The Daily Wire.

“Any show I have booked that discriminates against concert-goers by requiring proof of vaccination, a COVID test, or a mask is being canceled immediately,” he added.
