Chicago Mayor Lori Lightfoot took a vulgar verbal potshot at Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas over the weekend in response to his concurrence with the decision overturning Roe v. Wade.
“So we know what happened in the Supreme Court yesterday,” Lightfoot said on Saturday at a rally. “If you read Clarence Thomas’ concurrence, he said… F*ck Clarence Thomas!”
“He thinks that we are going to stand idly by while they take our rights, our right to marry, our right to have children, our right to live,” Lightfoot added, though the high court literally does not have any cases before it that would do any of those things.

Following the leak of the majority opinion in early May — which, for the record, was written by Justice Samuel Alito — Lightfoot lashed out as well.
“To my friends in the LGBTQ+ community—the Supreme Court is coming for us next. This moment has to be a call to arms.
“We will not surrender our rights without a fight—a fight to victory!” she said in comments that raised eyebrows and earned her accusations of calling for armed insurrection.

To Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.), the ‘call to arms’ comment was a direct threat to the sovereignty of the Judicial Branch to issue rulings free from threats of violence.
And it also smacked of hypocrisy, given the of many who were involved in the incident at the Capitol last year.
Boebert responded to her by simply calling her an “Insurrectionist.”
Lightfoot then responded with, “Excuse me. Insurrection is your thing. Not ours.”
No one arrested in connection with the Capitol incident has been charged with “insurrection” or “sedition.”
But Lightfoot’s reply led to one from Boebert.
“6 killed and 18 wounded in your city this past weekend. Nearly 200 murders this year so far. Go fix your city, hack,” she said.

Other conservatives took verbal aim at Lightfoot as well.
The Mayor of the most violent city in America is here to worry about woke nonsense instead of people literally dying in the streets there…

“This is absolute bullsh*t and you know it. The court made that very clear in its ‘leaked’ opinion. You should be arrested for calling for the murder of Americans. LIAR,” added talk host Monica Matthews.
