Sen. Tom Cotton railed at “liberal corporate executives” at Disney over the entertainment giant’s increasingly ‘woke’ agenda.
The Arkansas Republican also accused the company of benefitting from its relationship with the Chinese government will attempting to posture over morality.
“Disney is a charter member of the China lobby, so its liberal corporate executives can spare us the moral outrage about protecting our kids from indoctrination,” the lawmaker tweeted on Friday morning. “Walt Disney must be rolling over in his grave at the clowns running his company.”

“Disney publicly thanked the Chinese Communist Party officials running concentration camps in Xinjiang. And now Disney is lecturing parents about what’s appropriate to teach kindergarteners?” he noted out earlier this week. “What a joke.”

The Daily Wire added:
Disney is currently in the public spotlight due to CEO Bob Chapek’s opposition to the Florida “Parental Rights in Education” bill — a move that followed immense pressure from leftist employees within the entertainment conglomerate.
On Tuesday night, Christopher Rufo released several videos from a recent “all-hands” Disney staff meeting to discuss the legislation — dubbed the “Don’t Say Gay Bill” by progressive media — as well as Disney’s efforts to push progressive ideas of sexuality on their young audience. According to the footage, one executive producer said that she was easily able to implement her “not-at-all secret gay agenda” in one show, while another Disney manager discussed the company’s move to drop “gendered greetings” from theme park experiences.
In response to the rising chaos at Disney, many conservative employees wrote and endorsed an open letter expressing concern over the iconic company’s politicization.
“Over the last few years, one group of cast members has become invisible within the company. The Walt Disney Company has come to be an increasingly uncomfortable place to work for those of us whose political and religious views are not explicitly progressive,” the letter said.
“We watch quietly as our beliefs come under attack from our own employer, and we frequently see those who share our opinions condemned as villains by our own leadership,” the employees continued.
“Disney shouldn’t be a vehicle for one demographic’s political activism. It’s so much bigger and more important than that,” they continued. “More than ever, the world needs things that we can unite around. That’s the most valuable role The Walt Disney Company could play in the world at this time,” the letter continued.
“It’s a role we’ve played for nearly a century, and it would be a shame to throw all of that away in the face of left-wing political pressure. Please don’t let Disney become just another thing we divide over,” it added.
