Harris Ripped For ‘Word Salad’ Response Regarding U.S. Assistance to Ukraine During Poland Trip

Vice President Kamala Harris was ridiculed online for a rambling answer she gave in response to a question about U.S. assistance to Ukraine while in Poland on Thursday.

Harris spoke alongside Polish President Andrzej Duda in Warsaw, noting that the U.S. would be contributing an additional $53 million to the UN World Food Program to help the Ukrainians after their country was invaded by Russian forces late last month.

She “also offered answers to reporters that sounded like a ‘word salad’ regarding the nation’s response to Russia’s invasion of the former Soviet republic,” The Daily Wire reported.

Following an awkward laugh over whether she or Duda should respond to a reporter’s question regarding Ukrainian refugees, Harris then offered her roundabout response.

“The U.N. has set up a process by which there will be a review and investigations, and we will of course participate as appropriate and necessary, but we all watched the television coverage of just yesterday,” she began.

“That’s on top of everything else that we know and don’t know yet based on what we’ve just been able to see and because we’ve seen it or not doesn’t mean it hasn’t happened. But just limit it to what we have seen,” she continued.

“Pregnant women going for health care being injured by, I don’t know, a missile, a bomb, in an unprovoked, unjustified war, where a powerful country is trying to take over another country, violate its sovereignty, its territorial integrity, for the sake of what? Nothing that is justified or provoked?” she added.

“Absolutely there should be an investigation, and we should all be watching, and I have no question the eyes of the world are on — this war — and what Russia has done in terms of this aggression and these atrocities. I have no doubt,” Harris said.

Noted Grabien founder Tom Elliot: “We’re not sending our best.”

Meghan McCain, former co-host of “The View” and currently a columnist for The Daily Mail, previously rapped the Biden administration’s decision to send Harris to Warsaw, writing, “Please for the love of God, send a serious person instead.”

Others responded to Harris’ rambling answer as well.
