Pelosi Says Americans Don’t Appreciate Biden Because They Don’t Know What He’s Accomplished

House Speaker Nancy Pelosi suggested on Tuesday that the reason why President Joe Biden’s approval ratings have fallen so far is that most Americans are not aware of what he’s done.

She told MSNBC anchor Andrea Mitchell that Biden’s first official State of the Union, which is scheduled for Tuesday evening, is going to be very important because it would allow the president to showcase everything he had been able to accomplish.

“Now the polls show Americans deeply pessimistic about the economy. Inflation is only going to rise with what’s happening on the energy front with this war. Um, what do you attribute to that, um, the decline in the president’s polls — even on COVID — on how he’s handled it. Um, what can he do to turn this around?” Mitchell asked.

“Well, I think tonight is going to be very important because for people to appreciate what the president has done and working together with the Congress, they have to know what it is,” Pelosi replied.

“President Lincoln said, ‘Public sentiment is everything. With it, you can accomplish almost everything. Without it practically nothing.’ But people have to know for public sentiment.”

Congressman Byron Donalds (R-Fla.) responded to Pelosi’s comments by asking exactly what he should appreciate about the state of the union under Biden’s leadership.

“, what is there to appreciate in Biden’s America? Are you telling the American people to ignore the obvious?” Donalds asked in a . “‼️Gas prices ‼️Inflation ‼️Afghanistan/Ukraine ‼️Crime ‼️Open border  ‼️Vax mandates  ‼️CRT in schools ‼️Mask mandates for children. Wake up, Nancy!”

“Again the Democrats fall back on the lie they tell themselves that they’re unpopular only because they haven’t communicated well enough,” communications strategist Tim Murtaugh . “In fact, the people are well aware of what Biden has done. And they see the results of the policies. That’s why Biden is unpopular.”

Radio producer Duane Patterson , “Democrats, please campaign on the whole ‘Americans are too ignorant to fully appreciate Biden’ message. In fact, that message is solid enough to run with through 2024.”

“We must appreciate this presidency by finding out what is in it,” Fox News contributor Guy Benson said.

“Pretty sure we know,” Daily Wire editor emeritus Ben Shapiro .
