Bongino Demands Republicans Push to Impeach Biden: ‘No More BS’

(USA Features) Top talker and Fox News host Dan Bongino strongly urged congressional Republicans to explore impeaching President Joe Biden, becoming the second leading conservative to do so this month.

Arguing that “new rules are in effect” in the House after Democrats moved to impeach former President Donald Trump twice once they took over the majority in January 2019, Bongino, a former NYPD officer and Secret Service agent intoned, “It’s time to start playing hardball.”

Bongino made his case after playing a clip of conservative talk host and fellow Fox News host Mark Levin, who made the case for impeaching Biden earlier this week during an appearance on colleague Sean Hannity’s show.

“The Democrats think impeachment is a strictly political tool to get rid of your political enemies, even when they don’t have a reason? You know, fake impeachment one, fake impeachment two over Trump. Well, now we have a real reason,” said Bongino, though both times Trump was acquitted in the Senate.

Bongino cited Biden’s lack of control over the U.S.-Mexico border, saying that the president’s reversal of Trump’s enforcement policies have invited an “invasion” of migrants streaming illegally into the country.

He noted that many of those migrants are testing positive for COVID-19 but are nevertheless sent to the interior of the country.

The host also cited the Biden administration’s renewal of an eviction moratorium this week after the Supreme Court ruled in June that the government lacked the constitutional authority to impose the first one, let alone reimpose it for 60 days, as the CDC did on Wednesday.

“That’s just icing on the cake. These are real reasons to impeach. Get it done now. Right now. No more B.S. from you guys,” Bongino said.

At president, Republicans are in the minority so any effort to impeach Biden faces long odds. Articles of impeachment filed Jan. 21, the day after Biden was inaugurated, have not gotten any traction.

Nevertheless, there is an effort among some Republicans to this effort. Rep. Andy Biggs, R-Ariz., said Friday he planned to file impeachment articles against Department of Homeland Security Secretary Alejandro Mayorkas over the worsening border crisis.

Bongino seemed to acknowledge that Republicans face an uphill battle regarding impeachment, but he still pushed for the effort. He said during his show that he’ll be launching an activism website where Americans can go to fill out an online petition and have it sent to their congressman or congresswoman urging them to support impeaching Biden.

“Put forth the impeachment resolution now. Doesn’t matter. Make them vote on it. Get it on the floor. Get it in the news cycle right now. This guy has got to go. He is the worst president in U.S. history,” he said.

Levin, during his Fox News segment with Hannity, also referred to Biden as “the most disastrous president in modern American history.”

And he, too, pushed Republicans to pick up the impeachment call.

“Republicans, have you heard of the word impeachment? Are you guys going to go down to the border and whine yourselves to death?” Levin said.

“I know you’re not in the majority but you need to start explaining to the American people. This man just violated a Supreme Court decision, this man has the border wide open in violation of our immigration laws,” he added.
