Fox News’ Tucker Carlson Says Whistleblower Revealed NSA Is Spying on Him

(USA Features) Fox News host Tucker Carlson said during his Monday night show that a whistleblower has alerted him that the National Security Agency is spying on his electronic communications in an attempt to take down his popular cable news program.

Carlson began his segment by noting that the Biden administration is focused on the phony threat of white supremacy, going on to quote unnamed FBI agents who he says told him the agency rarely investigates criminal activity involving white supremacist groups or individuals because there are so few cases.

He indicated that the same FBI agents claimed that left-wing environmentalist groups drew far more attention from the bureau, while repeating an earlier claim that he suspects FBI-linked operatives were involved in the Jan. 6 riots.

Carlson then pivoted to his shocking claim about the NSA, which he says is monitoring his communications “in an attempt to take this show off the air.”

“White supremacy may be ugly, but it is not a meaningful threat to the nation, and claiming otherwise is a lie,” Carlson said. “So why does the Biden administration persist in telling that lie?

“It’s a racial attack, obviously. It’s waged for partisan political purposes. You tell black voters that Republicans are the KKK and maybe they’ll keep voting for you,” he added.

“That’s the idea. It’s really easier than fixing Chicago or raising test scores, which they should be doing.”

He continued, “But it’s not just political protesters the government is spying on. Yesterday we heard from a whistle-blower within the U.S. government who reached out to warn us that the NSA, the National Security Agency, is monitoring our electronic communication and is planning to leak them in an attempt to take this show off the air.

“Now that’s a shocking claim and ordinarily we would be skeptical of it, it’s illegal for the NSA to spy on American citizens. It’s a crime,” Carlson went on. “This is not a third-world country, things like that should not happen in America.

“But unfortunately, they do happen and in this case, they did. The whistle-blower, who is in a position to know, repeated back to us information about a story that we are working on that could have only come directly from my texts and emails. There’s no other possible source of that information. Period,” the host added.

“The Biden administration is spying on us. We have confirmed that,” Carlson said.

On Tuesday, White House press secretary Jen Psaki dismissed Carlson’s claims to reporters aboard Air Force One en route to Michigan.

“The NSA, as I think you’re well aware, I’m sure everyone’s aware, or everyone on this plane is aware I should say, is an entity that focuses on foreign threats and individuals who are trying, attempting to do us harm on foreign soil, so that is their purview,” Psaki said.

Carlson, who said his program has filed a Freedom of Information Act request with the NSA and FBI, was adamant, however.

“Spying on opposition journalists is incompatible with democracy. If they are doing it to us, and again, they are definitely doing it to us, they are almost certainly doing it to others. This is scary, and we need to stop it right away,” he said.
