(USA Features) Former President Donald Trump took to his social page on Saturday to give interested fans an update on the status of the iconic Boeing 757 commercial airliner he used during his 2016 campaign.
“Many people have asked about the beautiful Boeing 757 that became so iconic during the Trump rallies,” he wrote on his website. “It was effectively kept in storage in Upstate New York in that I was not allowed to use it during my presidency.”
Trump, of course, traveled on Air Force One and Marine One when he flew during his presidency.
“It is now being fully restored and updated and will be put back into service sometime prior to the end of the year,” Trump added.
“It will soon be brought to a Louisiana service facility for the completion of work, inspection and updating of Rolls-Royce engines, and a brand new paint job. When completed, it will be better than ever, and again used at upcoming rallies!” the former president noted further.
In an interview last week with One America News, Trump said he was set to resume rallies in support of the GOP, his policies, and various candidates he backs.
“We’ll be doing one in Florida, we’re going to do one in Ohio, we’re going to do one in Georgia, we’re going to do one in North Carolina,” he told the right-leaning network.
He did not provide dates but said that the rallies would begin “soon.”
“We’ll be announcing them very soon, over the next week or two. I think we’ll probably start in Florida and Ohio and we’ll be announcing the rallies very shortly,” he added.
