(USA Features) South Carolina Republican Sen. Lindsay Graham on Tuesday called on his party to step up and draft Donald Trump to be the GOP presidential nominee in 2024, even though the former president has yet to say whether he wants to run again next time around.
“I miss Donald Trump,” Graham told Fox News host Sean Hannity Tuesday night.

“I hope he’s considering running. Let’s start a ‘draft Trump’ movement. He’s the one guy I think can go to the American people and say, ‘Let me finish what I started. What I did worked,'” Graham continued.
Trump has teased a potential 2024 bid for a second term, though other political analysts have speculated he may instead prefer to play the role of ‘kingmaker’ as the party’s titular standard-bearer with endorsements and funding.
In the interview, Graham also strongly urged Republican voters to show up to the polls during next year’s midterms, or “you have nobody to blame but yourself” if Democrats retain control of Congress.
“Joe Biden’s overwhelmed by the job of being president,” said Graham. “The left has lost its mind. There’s more fentanyl that crossed the border this time in 2021 than in all of 2020.
“Israel is under the gun — 3,500 rockets [fired by Palestinian militants]. Where is it coming from? Iran. To the Biden administration, you would be insane to start negotiating with Iran as long as they’re still the largest state sponsor of terrorism,” he added.
“So I am very worried about our national security. I’m very worried about our border here at home. 2022’s gonna be a hell of an election.”
