(USA Features) Attorney Jenna Ellis, a former legal counsel to the 2020 campaign of President Donald Trump, is launching a new organization aimed at ensuring election integrity.
“The Election Integrity Alliance will unite groups and efforts across the nation focused on combating election fraud and will build solutions and provide resources to state legislators and the public on challenges to free and fair elections,” attorney and former counsel to President Trump Jenna Ellis told Just the News in a written statement.
“The Election Integrity Alliance will be a centralized hub that gives tools to enact meaningful change for the American people,” she added.
Ellis was part of the former president’s campaign legal team which challenged electoral results in several key battleground states following the November election, alleging, in part, that changes made in the months before the election were unconstitutional.
None of the challenges were ultimately successful nor did they result in the overturning of election results.
As for the alliance, Ellis will serve as chairperson of its national board. Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton and former Trump adviser Peter Navarro will be honorary co-chairpersons, the press release noted. Also, former New York City Police Commissioner Bernard Kerik will be a board member.
Following the election, Navarro published a series of reports which claimed to have uncovered multiple election anomalies in a half-dozen battleground states, allegedly robbing Trump of reelection victory.
In addition to the Election Integrity Alliance, other groups have launched similar efforts.
Heritage Action for America earlier this year “launched its first-ever state advocacy campaign to secure and strengthen state election systems, with an initial investment of $10 million and a commitment to devote whatever funding it takes to accomplish its goals,” according to a press release.
Also, the Amistad Project of the Thomas More Society has been engaged in election integrity-related lawsuits.
“Election integrity is a hallmark of freedom and should be a non-partisan, wholly American value,” said Ellis.
“The Election Integrity Alliance’s mission is to support Congress, the state legislatures, and the voters and together, continue building a more perfect Union,” she added.
