Trump Launches New Communications Platform Following Facebook, Twitter Bans

(USA Features) Former President Donald Trump on Tuesday launched a new communications platform that will eventually give him the opportunity to communicate directly with his supporters months after being booted from major social media sites like Facebook and Twitter, Fox News reported.

“From the Desk of Donald J. Trump” is the name of the platform, which appears at The blog-like forum allows Trump to post comments, videos, and images.

The platform appears to be powered by Campaign Nuclear, the “digital ecosystem made for efficiently managing political campaigns and organizations,” which was created by his former campaign manager, Brad Parscale.

The platform allows people to share the former president’s posts to Twitter and Facebook. However, it doesn’t have a feature yet to allow users to respond to, or engage with, Trump’s posts.

“This is just a one-way communication,” one source familiar with the platform told Fox News. “This system allows Trump to communicate with his followers.”

The platform surfaced after Trump advisers told Fox News the former president would “move forward” to create his own social media site after he was banned from Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, YouTube, and Snapchat following the Jan. 6 Capitol riot.

It isn’t clear, Fox News reported, if the current platform is part of a larger project or if something completely different is being developed for Trump.
